On April 16, 2022, the daily magazine *SPA!* published an article titled “The Reality of Roppongi’s ‘Sugar Daddy Building’: Female College Students Treating It Like a Part-Time Job and Executives from Listed Companies Hang Out There.”

The article reported that a building dedicated exclusively to “sugar dating” had opened in Roppongi.

However, while it was clear that a so-called “sugar dating building” existed in Roppongi, the article did not provide any further details.

Therefore, in this article, we investigated exactly which building in Roppongi is referred to as the “sugar dating building” and what the current state of sugar dating in Roppongi is.

What is the “Sugar Daddy Building” in Roppongi?

Perhaps the biggest question is which building in Roppongi the “sugar daddy building” featured in *Nikkan SPA!* actually refers to.

Based on this information, I tried to figure out which building it was.

First, please take a look at this map.

The Roppongi intersection is marked with a red circle. Since it’s a 5-minute walk from here toward Roppongi Hills, you’ll be walking in the direction shown at the bottom left of the map.

The yellow road is Roppongi-dori. This street is quite busy with pedestrians and lined with many restaurants, so it doesn’t meet the condition of “not being a busy area, so there’s little risk of being seen.” It’s unlikely that a “sugar daddy” building would be located on this street.

In that case, what about the street one block back from Roppongi-dori? With the Roppongi Hills North Tower located there and numerous restaurants lining the street, this area also doesn’t seem to meet the condition of being “a place with low foot traffic.”

That leaves us with the possibility of a north-south street where the Toei Oedo Line runs underground.

This street meets the criteria of having low foot traffic and being located about a 5-minute walk from the Roppongi intersection toward Roppongi Hills.

Since there are several mixed-use buildings lining this street, it’s possible that one of them—or perhaps the entire block—is the “sugar daddy building.”

Rumors About the “Sugar Daddy” Building in Roppongi

Online, rumors are swirling that the “sugar daddy building” in Roppongi might be the “Barbizon 27” building in Nishi-Azabu or the “Dear Nishi-Azabu Building.”

The Dear Nishi-Azabu Building is home to a concentration of restaurants, including bars and karaoke bars, so it does match some of the criteria listed in Nikkan SPA!

Barbizon 27 also houses bars and karaoke venues, and is packed with lounges. Since many of the establishments there have a luxurious atmosphere, it’s possible that this building could be the “Roppongi sugar daddy building” as well.

However, this area has heavy foot traffic, which seems to contradict the condition mentioned in *Nikkan SPA!* that there’s no risk of being seen.

Barbizon 27 is also known as the building where Ebizo Ichikawa was assaulted. Since it’s a building frequented by celebrities, it’s hard to imagine this is a place out of the public eye.

Furthermore, while the article refers to it as a “Roppongi sugar daddy building,” the fact that it’s actually located in Nishi-Azabu is a bit hard to swallow. If that were the case, wouldn’t the article simply say “Nishi-Azabu sugar daddy building”?

In any case, the truth remains a mystery, but it seems there may indeed be a building in the Roppongi area where business owners who bring sugar babies gather.

How to Find a Sugar Daddy at a Sugar Daddy Building in Roppongi

Even if you find a “sugar daddy” building in Roppongi, it’s not an adult entertainment establishment, so just because you enter the building doesn’t mean you’ll be able to spend time with a woman.
